Minneapolis

A few weeks ago, Alan and I made a quick trip up to Minneapolis for a wedding.  Our friend Nicki, whom Alan has known since elementary school, and whom I have known since high school, got married.  Happy day!  Because of some other happenings that weekend, we left the kids with Alan's sister who was in town (THANK YOU!), drove up on Saturday morning/afternoon, went to the wedding, then drove home Saturday night.  It was a bit of a whirlwind, literally, as there were tornado warnings all over Minneapolis as we left to drive home.  We were blessed to avoid the storms, though, and actually enjoyed the drive.  What can I say?  9 hours in the car, alone with my husband--I'll take it!

We arrived in Minneapolis a little bit early, and decided to stop by the Cathedral in the city before the wedding.  It was massive and absolutely beautiful.

Congratulations, Nicki and Gerardo!

A little scary, right?

  1. That cathedral is absolutely stunning. And those clouds look otherworldly. Great photos, Emily.
