Baby Roxanne
Abbie has named our baby Roxanne. She maintains that this name is fine for a boy. I guess she'll figure it out when he's born and we name him something else. Our ultrasound last week was quite illuminating. This baby boy is breech and curled up an a tight little ball. The tech had a horrible time getting the pictures he needed--I was sent walking in the middle, made to lay on my stomach, etc. We finally got everything, but when the baby's little feet were up by his face the whole time, it was a bit difficult. I also got my answers to explain all of this movement... This baby moves ALL THE TIME. He's moving when I'm driving in the car. He's moving when I wake up at night. He's moving at the grocery store. All day. All night. And they're not little movements either; these are big, strong, watch my belly move on the outside movements. I'm measuring three weeks ahead and the baby was measuring big too. That's probably part of it. This first picture confirms my suspicions--I have a boxer in there.

Oh, Roxanne, you're such a wiggly, strong little boy. You do need a suitable name. :)
ReplyDeleteEmily, thanks for all of your blog updates. For some reason this pregnancy has left me with long bouts of depression that come and go suddenly, so I haven't been commenting much. Boo. But today I feel good, and I want to stop by and say congrats again on the pretty baby, I'm glad the flu is gone from your home, and I hope even your beautiful snow-fort gives way to a charming spring.
Measuring three weeks ahead- yay! Our little boys can be birthday buddies. They could even share Michael's birthday if they're lucky. I hope Roxanne stops punching you. :)
ReplyDeleteFunny, Roxie has been on our short list of girls names for a while now (although, unfortunately not currently in the lead). We think it's a good name. But not for a boy...
ReplyDeleteAnd whew, three weeks ahead eh? I think that you're definitely going to beat me out, our fetus is measuring right on schedule, to the day.
Good luck with your scrunched up boxer!
