Crafting

Nate, Abbie and I have been doing a lot of crafting recently.  They both really love art projects and I love crafts, so we've been keeping busy!  I've starting hand-sewing.  It's very soothing to me, relaxing.  I'll post a picture of my newest project when it's finished in a few days.  Abbie is always eager to help me with whatever project I'm currently attempting, and while I love her excitement, sometimes it's just not practical to have her help.  I found a great project that allows her to sew right along with me; she absolutely loves it.  So far we've only done it while Nate was at soccer camp, but I bought supplies for him as well and he seems eager to practice too.  I let the kids pick out the hoop color and three colors of embroidery thread.  Then I purchased 2 large plastic (and blunt) embroidery needles, plus a bunch of burlap.  Here are some pictures of Abbie at work:
