Abbie threw up for the first time last night. I consider it pretty lucky to make it nearly four years without any type of vomiting stomach bug. Now she's running a fever and feeling generally low. Poor baby.
If I'm being completely honest, though, I'm sort of enjoying this. Not her feeling crappy and being sick, but she is a snuggle-bug right now. We've spent the day lying on the couch, watching movies and cuddling. Abbie never lets me hold her like this. While I wouldn't wish this on her, I'll miss the sweet closeness that I'm allowed today. I do love her so.
Oh, I love cuddle bugs. Gideon cuddles more when he is sick, too, but he is always cuddly. We think he is so pretty when he does his cuddly bedtime cry.

ReplyDeleteI know just what you mean. Even though you hate that they are sick and it's sad for them, it is kinda nice to have a not usually cuddly child become a total cuddle bug. :)
