Last Tuesday was Nate's All School Music Concert. I was actually very impressed, with the exception of one song. The kindergartners and first graders sang together, the second and third graders sang together, and the fourth and fifth graders sang together. The kids were animated, loud and knew the words! It was a lot of fun to watch.
The first two videos are of Nate's group singing (Kindergartners and first graders). The third video is the last song of the concert, sung by the fourth and fifth graders. They sang "Don't Stop Believing," by Journey. As you'll probably hear during the recording, I didn't find it very appropriate--"Smoky room...smell of wine and cheap perfume...strangers on a boulevard..." I'll let you be the judge. I'm thinking of emailing the principal, though. What do you think?
Doesn't seem appropriate, but maybe you should just talk to the teacher instead of going over her head to the principal.
ReplyDeleteNate's & Abbie's performances are wonderful!
