Today was the day! Nate played in his first piano recital. He has been practicing very hard; I'm proud of him for being so well prepared. Nate played two songs, Indian Drums and Row, Row, Row Your Boat. He did a fantastic job, remembering the repeat and dynamics on Indian Drums and mastering the tempo and left hand chords on Row, Row, Row Your Boat. If you know Nate at all, you know that he is, well, sort of an anxious kid. For the recital, however, Nate wasn't even the slightest bit nervous! It probably helped that we hosted the recital in our home, but still, I was amazed! You can hear Nate's performance below. Needless to say, we're very proud parents today!
I'm not normally a comment-fisher, but I think that Nate would love to hear some feedback from you all! If you leave me a comment (a nice one!), I'll be sure that he sees it. THANK YOU!
Congratulations, Nate nate!!! Your auntie Lizzy is soooo proud of you. You are a natural at the piano. I cannot wait to hear some of the songs your mommy says you're writing! Good job and keep it up. I love you!
ReplyDeleteI was always SO nervous for piano recitals! You don't look nervous at all. Great job!!
ReplyDeleteWay to go Nate. Great dynamics and no mistakes at all. You rock!
ReplyDeleteWow, Nate! Great recital. I was always so afraid of playing in recitals, but you make it look easy. Loved the dynamics in Indian Drums. Playing softly is hard, and you did it great. I am so proud of you.
ReplyDeleteLove you lots!
Nate--that was really, really good! Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeletethat was great Nate, you did a great job on making the first chord loudest in your first song, and having it loud and then soft!! wow! I was impressed. isn't it fun to play the piano??
ReplyDeleteTish
I think that I can still play Indian Drums! I can play that song and only that song. Nate-- you did wonderfully!
ReplyDeleteNate, I am SO seriously impressed--I can't wait to hear you play "live" sometime!
