Brave Girl

Have you ever heard of the Brave Girls' Club?  If you haven't, please go visit them.  RIGHT NOW.  I was inspired late last night, after receiving their Daily Truthto create something for myself.  Alan and I often joke (because if you can't laugh about it, you'll never survive it) that we are cursed, that our life is like the epitome of Murphy's Law.  In all seriousness, though, the trials that have filled our recent years have been exhausting.  I wanted to create something to remind me of the reasons I still go on, something to keep me fighting, even in the darkest hours.  I needed a reminder so that at the end of a day filled with drama and pain and anger, I can remember what I'm doing here.

  1. You can do ANYTHING, Emily! You are amazing. Can I add an index card to this? Or maybe five? Because I could certainly fill that many up with all the reason why you're strong, gifted, amazing, etc. etc. etc. I LOVE YOU

  2. amen (I can relate to your post... the trials may be different, but the feelings are the same or similar I think.)

  3. I'm glad that you are so honest, Em, it seems like so many blogs are just one big "happy fest" (perhaps I'm guilty of that too) and I'm always thankful for your insight and frankness. You really are so amazing and talented, I'm completely envious of all your creativity and your adorable kiddos. (c: That's a great idea to remeber the things you are grateful for...love ya!
