For my real birthday, which is usual a bummer for me since I can't spend it with my twin sister, a dear friend took me out for breakfast to La Brioche. It was wonderful food, wonderful company. Then I received 30 postcards, all at once, from my friend Meg (5th grade friend). She wrote one word on each postcard, so that I had to piece them all together to create my birthday message. Meg is the queen of postcards.
On the evening of my birthday, we ate at the Hubbard Avenue Diner. Such good food. Then we indulged in a cherry cheesecake. Yum.
You know what? Thirty was my best birthday in years. Maybe it's not gonna be so bad.
Happy Birthday girl, and of course it's gonna be great! (c: Or at least tell me that because it's gonna be me in a couple months...
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday! So far I've found my 30s to be liberating - I hope yours are the same!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! We should get groups together to play capture the flag more often! I grew up playing all summer in Eugene cemeteries. So fun.
ReplyDelete:) Birthdays are sometimes bittersweet. Your party looks beautiful, as is befitting of you. You are young, gorgeous, and MISSED! (I hope you are doing well.)
