The Big Year

My kids were inspired to do a Big Year after watching a movie by the same name (in hindsight, despite its PG rating, the language was probably bad enough that they shouldn't have watched it). So one afternoon, they gathered up their binoculars, notebooks and pens (or highlighters in Abbie's case--Bright green is so much better), and headed outside. They were limited to the birds on our block, but still came in with (astonishingly) good numbers.
