Hannah and James Come to Our Rescue

Where does the time go? I'm months behind in blogging, organizing photos, everything! After my surgery, Alan was able to stay home for 2 full weeks. It was a major blessing and I honestly don't know what I would have done without him. At the end of the two weeks, I had planned to be off crutches and back to work. Unfortunately my surgeon had been a bit more optimistic than he probably should have been (which apparently is fairly common for him) and I was still not able to walk without crutches. My physical therapist encouraged me to find help, as she was concerned that I wouldn't be able to heal well if I had to return to full time mom-duties after only two weeks. I posted a sarcastic message on Facebook asking if anyone wanted to come live with me for a week, 100% joking. But then I got a message from my darling SIL Hannah, offering to fly out from Utah to stay with us for a week. I couldn't believe it.

Hannah was incredible. She flew out with Baby James, who is just a few weeks older than Noah. Hannah carried the babies around, picked up the kids from school, made us lunch, cooked dinner for the family, cleaned up, etc. She was a miracle-worker. I can't imagine how badly that week would have gone without her and how much slower my recovery would have been if she wouldn't have so generously volunteered to help us. I will never be able to say thank you enough.
She even cut Noah's finger nails!
Noah is still a Momma's Boy, but he loved Hannah. He was very comfortable with her, thank goodness!
Noah and James--Twin Cousins
Look at this multi-tasking Mom and Aunt!

We took the boys to the park and let the swing for the first time. They loved it. James laughed and laughed. Noah had a good time, but wasn't quite sure why I kept pushing him away from me...

When Hannah and I were both pregnant in Disney World last year, we got this incredible dessert at Epcot Germany. It was a rice krispy treat that was dipped in chocolate and then drizzled with caramel. We decided to make our own while she was here. It was amazing.
Thank you so much for coming, Hannah and James! We love and miss you guys!
