Alan's 34th Birthday

Alan's birthday did not go according to plan this year. He ended up getting stuck at work until about 8:00 PM, completely ruining our planned celebration. Noah was already in bed when he got home, but I kept Nate and Abbie up after we ate Alan's birthday dinner without him, so that they could at least sing to him and have pie.
For his big gift, I made him a huge map of the US on a cork board so that we can pin all of the places we've been together.
He's not really a cake eater, so I made Christmas Pie, which is really like a no-bake cheesecake with cherry pie filling on top.
34. He kept on reminding us that now he's older than Jesus. (What a goon.)
Nate ate before Alan had taken a bite, so he had to go under the table and sing Mary Had a Little Lamb.
Happy birthday, Old Man! I hope that this year goes smoothly and provides lots of happiness. I love you!

  1. So, is holding up three fingers like that a Dimond thing? Michael does it, too.
