On October 25, I turned 29 years old. Let me show you how my day went:
Breakfast in bed--Sugary cereal and real coke. You can eat this stuff on your birthday.
Nate saying happy birthday. Thanks, buddy.
Alan replaced the breaks on our car while I was stuck in bed (my back is jacked).
Chicken pot pie for dinner
And a cherry chocolate cake with no frosting for dessert. (And yes, I did get a migraine from the chocolate. But it was SO worth it.)
I do realize that my birthday seemed to center around food. And really, that is how it should be, isn't it? But I got to spend the day with my family; my SIL even came over as she was in town from Boston. What more could I ask for? Well, I do wish that I could have celebrated with my twin sister, Rachel, instead of on the phone. Birthdays are always bittersweet for me since distance has separated us. But I did have a good day and am so thankful for my amazing husband who did everything in his power to make it a wonderful birthday. I am happy to be 29 and am honestly looking forward to another year, mostly because I get to spend every single day with Alan, Nate and Abbie.
Happy Birthday!! Woo Hoo! looks like you were well taken care of:-) that cake looks yum! sorry y ou couldn't be with your sister:-(
ReplyDeleteAnd I had to giggle at Nate mooning you... my brother always sends this emoticon on skype with this guy mooning, cos he thinks it hilarious!!

Dude. I KNEW your birthday was coming up! Can I take you out to lunch sometime? (WITHOUT OUR CHILDREN, as lovely as they may be.)
