Nate spotted this bird outside our window last week. We did some research and discovered that it's an Eastern Bluebird. Apparently they're fairly common in WI.
On a side note, can you believe how bare the trees look for early May?!
It's beautiful. I love the red breast offsetting that striking blue. I saw some sort of bluebird here in NC, too, and would like to catch sight of it again. Both of these bluebirds are so different from the ones in Idaho. I love the chance to learn about new birds and plants and animals in all of these different areas, and I've only lived in one country!
I think I saw one outside our apartment a day or so ago! as it flew I was amazed at the brilliant blue of it's wings:-)
