Alone?

I've never been very good at being alone. I think it's that whole twin thing. I kind of got the hang of it in college, but then Alan came along and since we've been married 6 years, I think I forgot. Well, in about 5 hours here, I am embarking on a journey. Literally and figuratively. I am headed to San Francisco to hang out with 2 of Alan's sisters and 2 of his brothers, and his dad. I am going alone--Not with Alan, not with Nate, not with Abbie. I'm driving to MKE, flying to Denver and then to San Fran, and then taking the BART (?!) to someplace where Andrea and Diana will pick me up. Crikey! I am so excited--I've never been there and haven't been out west since college. I miss it! I can't wait to see the ocean and go to Alcatraz--I know I'm weird, but it's seriously something I've wanted to do forever. Sort of an obsession... Anyways, some of you may think it strange that I am taking my first alone trip to hang out with my in laws. I thought that too, but then remembered that I have awesome in laws! I count them among my very dear friends and have realized recently just how lucky I am. It's not everybody who can take a vacation with their in laws, without their husband, and actually count it as a vacation! I'm so excited! I'll be taking tons of pictures, as we just got a new camera (that totally rocks). I'll update when I get home or when I can. Be back Sunday. Love you all!
