Our Daily Escapades

Today we took away Abbie's pacifier. Oh boy. I talked to her about it last night and she was very okay with it. This morning, we called Rachel (my pregnant sister), and Abbie told her that she wanted to send her "paci" to Baby Benjamin for when he's born because she's a big girl now. Then we called my Dad and she told him too. We were good for go until naptime--big surprise, right? NO NAP! She woke up at bloody 5:40AM and still screamed for over an hour about how she wanted her paci during naptime. Good grief. Bedtime was better! I started early, read a full half hour of stories and sang an extra song. I was very praiseful (is that a word?--my spell-checker says it isn't) of everything she did well. She got her special bear, Curly, who she had when she was a baby and cuddled with her. She was up for a little bit, but didn't cry and went to sleep without getting out of bed!! YEAH!! On a side note, the kids have been hilarious in their conversations lately. I don't want to add them all to the quotes section, so here they are: "Unkey Mikey likes Starcraft." --Nate "Am I old enough to play Starcrap?" --Abbie "Abbie, how did you get the ice cream out of the freezer?" --Alan "Maybe using my strong hands." --Abbie Crud, now they're not coming to me. I'll write more another time. Alan was up all night puking (his first time throwing up in 13 years!) and with Babs up at the COD, I am tired. Planning our vacation for next week...Maybe sin nuestros hijos! San Fran??

  1. If you come out here for vacation, I'll let you sleep on my bed and I'll take the air mattress :) You're really going somewhere without the kids? Sounds fantastic. It's perfect beach weather in New England :)

  2. You could drop the kids here and go to the beach or San Antonio or Mexico or anywhere! :)
