CHICAGO!

We had a wonderful trip! Here are the kids all ready to go to Grandma and Grandpa's house.
See Abbie's baby?
Also our classic driving picture.

Our first excursion was a walk to Navy Pier where we saw an amazing 3D IMAX about the Sardine Migration up the coast of South Africa. It was breathtaking. Here are some pictures (Yes, we are nerds):

Next we went sailing on a tall ship, WINDY. Alan and I got to hoist the main sail and then we spent an hour and a half sailing out and back on Lake Michigan. It was my first time sailing and I really enjoyed it. It gave me a new appreciation for modern travel, though, as we were so dependent on the wind and it was SO slow compared to flying. I can't imagine leaving Europe and knowing we had FOREVER before we even saw land again. Thanks Ancestors!

More later!
