For Family Home Evening tonight, I prepared a lesson on patience. My thoughts were geared towards teaching the kids to have some, but honestly it was an education for me too. To teach them (myself) about patience, I wanted to plan an activity that took a significant amount of time, but also had a fun outcome at the end. So tonight we made butter! It took a good 25 minutes of shaking, but we got it in the end. Then we all ate some homemade butter on warm bread. Yum!
Mmmm. I made butter once on accident... Not so good when you want whipped cream, but definitely good on bread.
