Christmas 2011

I don't have many pictures from Christmas, as my camera battery died early that morning. But we did have a lovely Christmas this year. Alan's youngest brother, his wife, and their baby spent the night on Christmas Eve and then spent Christmas morning with us. We had a tasty cinnamon roll/french toast bake for breakfast and then spent the day together as a family. We played with new toys, wore our new pajamas, attended church and watched the Packers play.

For dinner, we followed last year's tradition of having our friends the Cannons over. Michelle and I decided to do breakfast for dinner--It was amazing. We had homemade cinnamon rolls, hashbrown casserole, french toast strata, fruit salad, sausage and bacon. It was quite the dinner/breakfast. The evening took a bit of a turn, though, once we finished eating and had retired to the basement. The kids were all playing when little George suddenly vomited. A lot. He managed to contain the mess to a small fold out couch that Nate and Abbie use when they're playing Wii. I can't stand the couch and had tried to get rid of it the weekend before, so it was actually quite fortuitous for me. The couch went to the curb, George's clothes went in a bag and the clean up was done (once we washed Isacc's hands because he thought playing in George's puke looked like lots of fun). So it was a short visit, but the food was wonderful and the company even better.
