Fascinating Article on Suicide I'm so glad that somebody is doing this research. I read an op-ed the other day on the NYT website by a celebrity who has struggled with depression. He said something like, if there were a cure to depression sitting on a table 10 ft. away, somebody who is depressed would not get up to get that miraculous cure--it just takes too much energy. It really speaks to this idea of creating a real barrier to suicide--take away the easy option and they just won't do it. That's my take experience and my take anyway.
