Let's Celebrate Our Country--Yeah Right

This morning, the 4th of July, some freaking moron(s) tried to steal the DVD player out of our minivan. They didn't even have a bloody screwdriver--they just bashed it to pieces...not even the actual DVD part in the console--the screen! Not only have I lost my (illusion of) security, but I feel angry. I don't like being angry--This morning while we were driving to have a nice family breakfast, some (other) pisshead (the spell checker told me that piss head is 2 words) cut Alan off on University Ave. and then when we passed him, he screamed, "You drive like an asshole" out his window. Mind you that all of our windows were down and Abbie and Nate were in the backseat. What right does he have to expose my children to that kind of language?! Think it, fine, but keep your effing mouth closed around my kids. (I know, mines not better, but at least I keep it to myself.) What makes somebody think that it's their right to bust out my DVD player or swear around my kids. Seriously--This is disgusting and pathetic. Happy 4th of July.

  1. Dang! I'm sorry your holiday was so crappy! I have a bit of road rage, so I'm not sure what I would've done if the dude yelled at me. Did I tell you a guy walked across the street (not in the crosswalk) and flicked me off the other day? Like using his middle finger was a pass to cross anywhere he wanted? The nerve.
