The Man I Married

I was tagged by my friend, Mandi. Here we go! 1. What is his name? Alan Randall Dimond 2. Who eats more? He does 3. Who said I love you first? Alan did. We were in the car and he was telling me about this other girl who was interested in him and wanted to come visit (what?!). He said that he told her, "I love her," about me. Kind of indirect, but that's the first time I heard him say it. 4. Who is taller? Alan--He's the shortest Dimond male (cancer stunted his growth, according to him), but he's a good 6 inches taller than I am! 5. Who is smarter? That might be a toss up--Alan is very smart. He does amazing on standardized tests and graduated from med school! We are both brainy people. 6. Who is more sensitive? I think that I am, but Alan is a very sensitive guy. He gets "allergies" at a lot of movies. :) 7.Who does the laundry? Alan does a lot of laundry. There was a point where I got in the habit of doing a load a day and then I was totally on top of it. Unfortunately life happened and I lost that habit. Now I'll do some here and there, but I tend to forget it in the washing machine (yuck), so Alan does it a lot. I think that that will be changing now that Alan is an intern and never home, though. 8. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Alan, currently. We switch around a lot, though. 9. Who pays the bills? Alan does. Most of our stuff is auto-payed, though. 10. Who cooks more? I do. Alan is really good at breakfasts and rescuing us with quick dinners when we've been too busy to get anything ready. Now that he's not home until 6 or 7 every night, though, I'm in charge. 11. What meals do you cook together? Thanksgiving. We've been cooking Thanksgiving dinner together for 8 years now--Since the first year that we started dating! 12. Who is more stubborn? Probably Alan. When he thinks he's right, there's not even a point in debating him. :) (Although, I am pretty stubborn too) 13. Who is the first to admit they're wrong? It depends. I used to be horrible at it, but I have worked really hard on being nice and honest ALL the time. That makes it a lot easier to say I'm wrong. I think it's important to admit when you've doing something wrong. Alan's good at it. 14. Who has more siblings? Ha! He does! Alan has 4 brothers and 3 sister. I have 2 sisters. 15. Who wears the pants in the relationship? I think that we share our pants fairly well. 16. What do you like to do together? Go to movies, watch TV, eat, talk, take walks, ride bikes, go to Target, cook, work on the yard (play outside). 17. Who eats more sweets? Alan does. I'm more of a salt person. 18. Guilty pleasures? Starcraft and other computer games, ice cream at night (not so guilty for him!), staying up very late, driving really fast, cars (expensive, foreign). 19. How did you meet? I was friends with his girlfriend. He took us out to lunch at Taco Bell during school one day in high school (Madison West!--Go Regents!). We became best friends almost immediately. 22. Who proposed? Alan did. He took me on the tram to the top of the Sandia Mountains in Albuquerque. His sister, Diana, and my friend were there. I thought he was going to propose at the top of the mtn. that night. He didn't though. :) As we were coming back down, he yelled, "Excuse me! Could I get the lights on in here?" The tram operator said no, but Alan said, "I need to talk to my girlfriend." Then he proposed. It was absolutely perfect. 23. His best features? His hands. I remember in high school driving around with him and looking at his hands on the steering wheel. I love them. 24. What is his greatest quality? He is kind--Alan will go out of his way to help anybody. He stops on the highway all the time to help people, push their cars, etc. He drives around in the winter to look for people stuck in the snow and help them push their car out. He is a good person and has a wonderful heart. 25. Tag? Rachel Hallene, Rachel Stutzman, Aubrey Edwards, Kara Haymore and Heather Dance. You don't have to do it, but I'd love to learn more about your hubbies!
