Crazy, crazy days (and nights)

Yesterday seems like an eternity ago! We drove down to Chicago in the morning to go to... IKEA! We scored big time, after spending way too many hours there and deciding we wouldn't do a big shopping trip like that again with the kids. They were great, though, all things considered. Our biggest purchase was bunk beds for the kids. We moved them both into Abbie's room and are going to turn Nate's old room into an arts/crafts room. The kids were very excited about both rooms, and especially the beds!

Unfortunately, Abbie was a little too excited. Abbie pulled her first all-nighter last night. I'm not kidding. She took hours to fall "asleep," then got up about an hour later and was up all night. She wasn't fussy or tired; she was happy and ready to play the whole night. It was a nightmare!
This morning, Abbie was not a happy camper. Nate, on the other hand, slept all through the night and loved his new bed. We spent the morning running errands. Then my friend, Michelle, dropped off her daughter, Sofia, while she went to work for a few hours. Sofia was a dream! A little later, Melissa and her kids came over to play. The kids played outside for the afternoon while Melissa and I played with the babies. When Michelle got off work, she came over and our playdate continued! Plus, Michelle ordered pizza for us, so it was a great afternoon and dinner!

Bedtime for Abbie took a while again, but not 2 hours. I'm praying she sleeps better tonight! I should say, I'm praying she sleeps tonight. :)

Goodnight!
